I started my studies in Bookkeeping and Accounts over 20 years ago and achieved my diploma, followed by my AAT qualifications. My work experience began at an accounts office, where I prepared accounts up to trial balance for many types of businesses. I was quickly shown how to prepare and submit VAT returns as an extra role to my main bookkeeping duties. When I left the accounts office, my next job included payroll duties and, even though I learned on the job, I completed a payroll course, gaining a diploma. I became self employed in 2014 and have had a variety of clients over the years.
